Quadriceps Lying Stretch
Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The Quadriceps Lying Stretch effectively targets the quadriceps muscles by extending the hip and flexing the knee while lying prone. This stretch enhances flexibility in the quadriceps and can aid in recovery after intense workouts involving the lower body.
How to do it
- Lie face down on the floor or mat.
- Bend one knee and reach back with the same-side hand to grasp the foot or ankle.
- Gently pull the foot towards your glutes while keeping the pelvis pressed into the ground.
- Hold the stretch for the recommended duration, feeling the stretch in the quadriceps.
- Switch sides and repeat to ensure even flexibility.
