The dumbbell squat to overhead press is a compound exercise that combines lower and upper body movements. It is effective for building strength and power, enhancing coordination, and boosting cardiovascular fitness.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells at shoulder height.
- Lower into a squat, keeping chest up and weight in heels.
- Drive through the heels to stand up, simultaneously pressing the dumbbells overhead.
- Lower the weights back to the shoulders as you return to the squat position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
