The dumbbell squat to overhead press is a compound exercise that combines lower and upper body movements. It is effective for building strength and power, enhancing coordination, and boosting cardiovascular fitness.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells at shoulder height.
  2. Lower into a squat, keeping chest up and weight in heels.
  3. Drive through the heels to stand up, simultaneously pressing the dumbbells overhead.
  4. Lower the weights back to the shoulders as you return to the squat position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
