Equipment
The Bodyweight Standing Sissy Squat is a lower body exercise that targets the quadriceps by resisting the body’s weight and gravity. It is performed by leaning back from a standing position, maintaining balance and form throughout. This exercise helps build strength and endurance in the quadriceps.
How to do it
- Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, near a support bar for balance.
- Hold onto the bar lightly and lean back, allowing your knees to bend forward.
- Lower yourself until your body forms a straight line from knees to shoulders.
- Ensure your hips and shoulders move in one line, then return to the start.
