The lever pullover is an isolation exercise targeting the latissimus dorsi. It is performed using a leverage machine, providing constant tension and a guided motion path. This exercise is primarily used to build and strengthen the upper back while also engaging the chest and shoulders.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the lever machine and grip the handles with an overhand grip.
  2. Position your back firmly against the backrest and keep your feet flat on the ground.
  3. Pull the handles downwards in an arc, keeping your elbows slightly bent.
  4. Focus on squeezing your lats as you bring the handles to your chest.
  5. Slowly return to the starting position, maintaining control of the movement.
