The lever pullover is an isolation exercise targeting the latissimus dorsi. It is performed using a leverage machine, providing constant tension and a guided motion path. This exercise is primarily used to build and strengthen the upper back while also engaging the chest and shoulders.
How to do it
- Sit on the lever machine and grip the handles with an overhand grip.
- Position your back firmly against the backrest and keep your feet flat on the ground.
- Pull the handles downwards in an arc, keeping your elbows slightly bent.
- Focus on squeezing your lats as you bring the handles to your chest.
- Slowly return to the starting position, maintaining control of the movement.
