This stretch focuses on increasing flexibility and mobility in the upper back and shoulders. The movement helps to open up the chest and relieve tension in the thoracic region, contributing to improved posture and reducing back discomfort.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a bench with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Lean forward, placing your hands shoulder-width apart on the bench.
  3. Keep your arms straight and hinge at the hips, lowering your chest.
  4. Maintain a neutral spine and hold the stretch for several seconds, feeling the elongation in your back and shoulders.
  5. Gently come back to standing and repeat as needed.
