How to do it

  1. Stand beside a bench, holding a dumbbell in one hand.
  2. Bend forward slightly, supporting your body with the opposite arm on the bench.
  3. Keep your arm straight and raise the dumbbell forward and upward.
  4. Pause briefly at the top, then lower slowly.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of reps before switching arms.
