The Dumbbell Starfish Crunch is a core strengthening exercise that engages the abdominal muscles. It involves lying flat on the back while holding dumbbells, extending arms and legs in a starfish position, and then crunching at the core. This exercise primarily targets the Rectus Abdominis while also working the Obliques.
How to do it
- Lie flat on your back with arms and legs extended in a star shape.
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand, keeping arms and legs straight.
- Engage your core and lift your shoulders and legs off the ground slightly.
- Crunch inward by bringing arms and legs together above your torso.
- Return slowly to the starting position and repeat.
