Equipment
The dumbbell decline twist fly targets the chest muscles while also engaging the core. Performing this exercise on a decline bench increases the challenge by adding a rotational element that engages stabilizing muscles in the torso, emphasizing both chest and oblique conditioning.
How to do it
- Lie on a decline bench, holding dumbbells above your chest with a slight bend in the elbows.
- Lower the dumbbells to the sides while twisting your torso, engaging your core.
- Bring the dumbbells back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
- Repeat, twisting alternately on each repetition to engage obliques.
- Ensure to maintain a braced core throughout the movement.
