The dumbbell low fly is an isolation exercise primarily targeting the chest muscles. It involves extending the arms horizontally to work on the lower portion of the pectorals while also engaging the shoulders for stability.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand.
- Extend your arms straight down with palms facing each other.
- Slowly lift your arms up and out to the sides until they are at shoulder height.
- Keep a slight bend in the elbows as you raise the weights.
- Lower the weights back to the starting position, maintaining control.
