Underhand Grip Inverted Back Row

The underhand grip inverted back row is a bodyweight exercise that primarily targets the upper back and biceps. It engages the muscles in a pulling motion, helping improve upper body strength and stability. The exercise involves pulling the chest towards a bar while hanging in an inclined position with an underhand grip.

How to do it

  1. Position yourself under a bar set at waist height with an underhand grip, arms shoulder-width apart.
  2. Extend your legs out, keeping your body straight from head to heels.
  3. Pull your chest towards the bar by bending your elbows and squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  4. Lower yourself back to the starting position, fully extending your arms.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining a straight body line throughout.
