The twisting crunch with straight arms is an abdominal exercise that targets the core, specifically focusing on the rectus abdominis and obliques. It enhances core stability and helps improve rotational strength and muscle definition.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Extend your arms straight in front of you, parallel to the thighs.
  3. Engage your core and lift your shoulders off the ground while twisting at the waist.
  4. Alternate the twist direction with each crunch, reaching your right hand toward your left knee and vice versa.
  5. Lower back down slowly and repeat.
