The front plank on elbow toe tap is a core strengthening exercise that targets the stabilizing muscles of the abdomen and back, while also engaging the lower body. This dynamic variation of the standard plank adds a leg movement to enhance balance and coordination.

How to do it

  1. Begin in an elbow plank position with your elbows directly under your shoulders.
  2. Engage your core and keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Lift one foot and tap it to the side, then bring it back to the starting position.
  4. Alternate the foot tapping while maintaining a stable plank position.
  5. Focus on not allowing your hips to sag or lift excessively.
