The front plank on elbow toe tap is a core strengthening exercise that targets the stabilizing muscles of the abdomen and back, while also engaging the lower body. This dynamic variation of the standard plank adds a leg movement to enhance balance and coordination.
How to do it
- Begin in an elbow plank position with your elbows directly under your shoulders.
- Engage your core and keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- Lift one foot and tap it to the side, then bring it back to the starting position.
- Alternate the foot tapping while maintaining a stable plank position.
- Focus on not allowing your hips to sag or lift excessively.
