The twisting crunch is an abdominal exercise that targets the obliques and rectus abdominis by combining a crunch with a torso twist. This movement helps improve core strength, stability, and rotational power.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hands behind your head.
- Lift your shoulder blades off the ground, engaging your core.
- As you crunch up, twist your torso to the right, bringing your left elbow toward your right knee.
- Return to the starting position and repeat the twist to the left side.
- Alternate sides for the desired number of repetitions.
