The twisting crunch is an abdominal exercise that targets the obliques and rectus abdominis by combining a crunch with a torso twist. This movement helps improve core strength, stability, and rotational power.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hands behind your head.
  2. Lift your shoulder blades off the ground, engaging your core.
  3. As you crunch up, twist your torso to the right, bringing your left elbow toward your right knee.
  4. Return to the starting position and repeat the twist to the left side.
  5. Alternate sides for the desired number of repetitions.
