The Suspender Y Lateral Raise is a stability and strength exercise that targets the shoulder muscles and upper back. It involves raising the arms into a 'Y' shape while maintaining a stable core and leaning backward, engaging multiple muscles for stabilization.
How to do it
- Attach the suspension straps to an overhead anchor point.
- Hold the handles and lean back with a straight body, feet shoulder-width apart.
- Extend your arms in front, maintaining slight tension in the straps.
- Raise your arms up and out to form a 'Y', engaging your shoulders and back.
- Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
