The standing wheel rollout is an advanced core exercise that targets the rectus abdominis and requires significant stability and strength. It enhances core endurance and overall body coordination by engaging multiple muscle groups as you roll forward and back using an ab wheel.
How to do it
- Start in a standing position with feet shoulder-width apart, holding the ab wheel on the floor in front of you.
- Engage your core and slowly roll the wheel forward, extending your body into a plank position.
- Keep your spine neutral and avoid arching your back.
- Roll back to the starting position by engaging your core and pulling the wheel toward you.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control throughout.
