The Standing Two Side Bend is a bodyweight exercise primarily aimed at strengthening the obliques and improving lateral flexibility of the torso. It can enhance core stability and overall posture. This exercise involves bending the torso alternately to each side while maintaining a stable base with the legs and feet.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms at your sides.
- Engage your core and slowly bend your torso to one side, keeping your shoulders back.
- Return to the starting position and immediately bend to the opposite side.
- Repeat the motion, alternating sides with each rep while maintaining controlled movements.
- Ensure your hips remain stationary throughout the exercise for optimal isolation of the obliques.
