Smith Standing Shoulder Press
Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The standing shoulder press using a Smith Machine is an effective exercise for building shoulder strength and mass. It primarily targets the deltoid muscles and also engages the triceps and upper chest. The stabilized movement helps with controlled lifting and reduces the risk of injury.
How to do it
- Set the bar height at shoulder level on the Smith Machine.
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and grasp the bar with an overhand grip.
- Lift the bar overhead by extending your arms fully.
- Lower the bar back to the starting position while keeping control.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
