The Smith Hip Raise is an exercise that targets the abdominal muscles by using a Smith Machine for support. It involves lifting the hips and legs towards the bar, engaging the core and improving overall stability.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back beneath the Smith Machine bar.
  2. Grip the bar with both hands for stability.
  3. Extend your legs vertically, keeping them together.
  4. Engage your core to lift your hips off the ground towards the bar.
  5. Slowly lower your hips back down to the starting position.
