The Single Leg Push Off is a plyometric exercise aimed at improving lower body power and explosiveness. It involves pushing off one leg onto a raised surface, engaging the muscles in the legs and core, aiding in balance and strength development.
How to do it
- Stand facing a bench with feet hip-width apart.
- Lift one foot and place it on the bench.
- Drive through the heel of the elevated foot, extending the hip and knee to push off.
- Land softly back on the ground with the same foot.
- Repeat the motion for the desired number of repetitions, then switch legs.
