The shoulder stretch behind the back is a flexibility exercise that focuses on improving shoulder mobility and flexibility. This stretch can help alleviate tension in the shoulders and upper back, making it beneficial for individuals with tight shoulders or those who perform overhead activities.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Reach one arm overhead, then bend the elbow to touch the upper back.
  3. Use the opposite hand to gently pull the elbow downward, deepening the stretch.
  4. Hold the position for 15-30 seconds, breathing deeply.
  5. Switch arms and repeat the stretch on the other side.
