The seated straight leg calf stretch is a flexibility exercise aimed at increasing the flexibility of the calf muscles and the hamstrings. It involves sitting on the ground with your legs extended forward and reaching to touch your toes, which helps in lengthening the muscles at the back of the legs.
How to do it
- Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you.
- Keep your back straight and engage your core.
- Reach forward with your hands to grasp your toes or your feet.
- Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, feeling the stretch in the calves and hamstrings.
- Release slowly and repeat as needed.
