The seated calf stretch is a flexibility exercise aimed at lengthening the calf muscles. It's beneficial for improving range of motion in the ankles and reducing muscle tightness, which can enhance performance in various lower body activities and prevent injuries.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight out.
  2. Flex one foot toward you, keeping the knee straight.
  3. Lean forward slightly, reaching towards your foot until you feel a stretch in your calf.
  4. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, then switch legs.
  5. Repeat 2-3 times per leg.
