The Feet and Ankles Side-to-Side Stretch is a mobility exercise that targets the lower leg muscles, particularly focusing on enhancing the flexibility and range of motion in the ankles and calves. This exercise is beneficial for improving balance and preventing injuries related to the lower legs and feet.
How to do it
- Stand upright with feet hip-width apart.
- Shift weight onto one foot, gently lifting the opposite heel.
- Roll the lifted foot from side to side, stretching the ankle and calf.
- Hold for a few seconds on each side for a deeper stretch.
- Switch feet and repeat the motion.
