The reverse-grip machine lat pulldown targets the latissimus dorsi while providing variation with an underhand grip. This grip can also engage the biceps brachii more than traditional pulldown variations. The exercise helps build back strength and improve posture.
How to do it
- Sit at the leverage machine and secure your thighs under the pads.
- Grasp the bar with an underhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
- Pull the bar down to your chest, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
- Slowly extend your arms back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
