The Rear Fly Stepback is an exercise targeting the posterior deltoids and muscles of the upper back while incorporating a step to engage the lower body for balance and coordination.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet together holding dumbbells at your sides.
  2. Step back with one foot while simultaneously lifting the dumbbells out to the sides with straight arms.
  3. Squeeze shoulder blades together while maintaining a slight bend in the elbows.
  4. Return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
