This exercise combines elements of a push-up with the child pose from yoga. It's designed to build upper body strength while simultaneously providing a stretch through the back and hips. The movement targets the chest and arms and increases flexibility in the lower back and hips.

How to do it

  1. Begin in a kneeling position with your feet together and knees apart.
  2. Lean forward, placing your hands on the ground shoulder-width apart.
  3. Lower your chest toward the ground in a push-up motion.
  4. Return to the starting position, keeping your core engaged throughout.
  5. Repeat the motion while maintaining smooth, controlled movements.
