Plank jacks are a dynamic exercise that combines a plank hold with a jumping jack motion. The exercise primarily targets the core and improves endurance and stability while also increasing heart rate for a cardio benefit.

How to do it

  1. Start in a plank position with hands directly under shoulders and body in a straight line.
  2. Engage the core and jump both feet out to the sides, wider than hip-width apart.
  3. Quickly jump feet back to the starting position and repeat with controlled movements.
