Alternating knee thrusts are a dynamic exercise that primarily targets the core muscles, particularly the obliques and rectus abdominis. This movement mimics a knee drive action and is excellent for improving core strength, stability, and coordination.

How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms raised at chest level.
  2. Drive your right knee up towards your chest while simultaneously bringing your hands down towards your knee.
  3. Return to the starting position and repeat with the left knee.
  4. Continue alternating knees in a rhythmic and controlled manner.
  5. Maintain an engaged core throughout to ensure proper form and effectiveness.
