Alternating knee thrusts are a dynamic exercise that primarily targets the core muscles, particularly the obliques and rectus abdominis. This movement mimics a knee drive action and is excellent for improving core strength, stability, and coordination.
How to do it
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms raised at chest level.
- Drive your right knee up towards your chest while simultaneously bringing your hands down towards your knee.
- Return to the starting position and repeat with the left knee.
- Continue alternating knees in a rhythmic and controlled manner.
- Maintain an engaged core throughout to ensure proper form and effectiveness.
