Parsva Balasana, or Thread the Needle Pose, is a yoga posture that primarily targets the muscles of the back and shoulders. It helps improve spinal mobility and provides a gentle stretch to the shoulders and chest, offering relaxation and tension relief.
How to do it
- Start on all fours with wrists under shoulders and knees under hips.
- Slide one arm underneath the body, bringing the shoulder and temple to the ground.
- Extend the opposite arm overhead, palm facing down.
- Hold the position, breathing deeply, for several breaths.
- Switch sides and repeat.
