Parsva Balasana, or Thread the Needle Pose, is a yoga posture that primarily targets the muscles of the back and shoulders. It helps improve spinal mobility and provides a gentle stretch to the shoulders and chest, offering relaxation and tension relief.

How to do it

  1. Start on all fours with wrists under shoulders and knees under hips.
  2. Slide one arm underneath the body, bringing the shoulder and temple to the ground.
  3. Extend the opposite arm overhead, palm facing down.
  4. Hold the position, breathing deeply, for several breaths.
  5. Switch sides and repeat.
