The close-grip chin-up is an upper body exercise focusing on building strength in the arms and back. It involves pulling the body up to a bar with palms facing towards you and hands close together, emphasizing the biceps and upper back muscles.

How to do it

  1. Grab the pull-up bar with a close, underhand grip.
  2. Start with arms fully extended and feet off the ground.
  3. Pull your body upwards until your chin clears the bar.
  4. Slowly lower back to the starting position with control.
  5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
