The seated triceps extension with an Olympic barbell effectively targets the triceps brachii. Performed while seated on a bench, this exercise helps in isolating the triceps, improving arm strength and definition. It's beneficial for enhancing upper body strength and stability.
How to do it
- Sit upright on a bench, feet flat on the ground.
- Grip the Olympic barbell with both hands, palms facing up, and extend it overhead.
- Lower the barbell behind your head by bending the elbows, keeping upper arms stationary.
- Extend your elbows to raise the barbell back to the starting position.
- Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions while keeping your core engaged.
