The seated triceps extension with an Olympic barbell effectively targets the triceps brachii. Performed while seated on a bench, this exercise helps in isolating the triceps, improving arm strength and definition. It's beneficial for enhancing upper body strength and stability.

How to do it

  1. Sit upright on a bench, feet flat on the ground.
  2. Grip the Olympic barbell with both hands, palms facing up, and extend it overhead.
  3. Lower the barbell behind your head by bending the elbows, keeping upper arms stationary.
  4. Extend your elbows to raise the barbell back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions while keeping your core engaged.
