The lying leg hip raise is an effective core exercise that targets the lower abdominal muscles. By lifting the hips off the ground, it emphasizes the rectus abdominis and strengthens the core, improving overall stability and posture.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on your back with your legs extended and arms by your sides.
  2. Engage your core and lift your legs until they are perpendicular to the floor.
  3. Continue lifting your hips off the ground, squeezing your abdominal muscles.
  4. Hold briefly at the top, then slowly lower your hips and legs back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
