The Lying Leg Hip Raise targets the core muscles, primarily the lower abs. It involves lifting the legs and hips off the bench while maintaining a controlled movement. This exercise strengthens the rectus abdominis and improves core stability.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on a bench with your legs extended and hands gripping the bench above your head.
  2. Keeping your legs straight, lift them towards the ceiling.
  3. Continue lifting until your hips come off the bench, engaging your core.
  4. Slowly lower your legs and hips back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
