The Lying Leg Hip Raise targets the core muscles, primarily the lower abs. It involves lifting the legs and hips off the bench while maintaining a controlled movement. This exercise strengthens the rectus abdominis and improves core stability.
How to do it
- Lie flat on a bench with your legs extended and hands gripping the bench above your head.
- Keeping your legs straight, lift them towards the ceiling.
- Continue lifting until your hips come off the bench, engaging your core.
- Slowly lower your legs and hips back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
