Lying Crunch (Straight Legs)
Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The lying crunch with straight legs primarily targets the abdominal muscles. This exercise is effective for strengthening the core, improving posture, and enhancing stability. By keeping the legs straight and elevated, the exercise increases the difficulty and engages the lower abs more intensely.
How to do it
- Lie flat on your back with legs straight and elevated vertically.
- Place hands behind your head, elbows out to the sides.
- Engage your core and lift your upper body towards your knees, exhaling as you crunch.
- Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower back down while inhaling.
- Maintain a steady pace and controlled movement throughout the exercise.
