The kneeling shoulder tap push-up is a variation of the traditional push-up that incorporates balance and core stabilization. This exercise primarily targets the chest and triceps while engaging the core and shoulder stabilizers. It's suitable for building upper body strength and improving overall functional fitness.

How to do it

  1. Begin in a kneeling push-up position with your hands shoulder-width apart and knees resting on the ground.
  2. Lower your chest towards the floor while keeping your elbows close to your sides.
  3. Press up to the starting position, then lift one hand to tap the opposite shoulder.
  4. Return the hand to the floor and repeat, alternating shoulder taps with each rep.
  5. Maintain a straight line from shoulders to knees throughout the exercise.
