The kneeling push-up is a beginner-friendly exercise focusing on building upper body strength, particularly targeting the chest and triceps. This variation reduces the load compared to standard push-ups, making it suitable for building foundational strength and improving form.

How to do it

  1. Begin on the floor in a kneeling position with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  2. Engage your core and keep your body straight from knees to head.
  3. Lower your chest towards the ground by bending your elbows.
  4. Push through your palms to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining form throughout.
