The dumbbell fly on an exercise ball targets the chest muscles while also engaging the core for stability. Performing this exercise on a balance ball increases the challenge by requiring greater stabilization, promoting overall muscle coordination and balance.
How to do it
- Sit on a Balance Ball and walk your feet forward until your upper back is supported on the ball.
- Hold Dumbbells with palms facing inward, arms extended above the chest.
- Lower the arms out to the sides in a wide arc until you feel a stretch in the chest.
- Bring the dumbbells back together over the chest with controlled motion.
- Keep the hips lifted and core engaged throughout the movement.
