The kneeling hip flexor stretch targets the hip flexors and helps increase flexibility and mobility in the hip joint. This stretch is beneficial for reducing tension in the hip area, especially for those who sit for long periods.

How to do it

  1. Begin in a kneeling position with one knee on the floor and the other foot flat in front.
  2. Ensure the front knee is directly over the ankle and the back knee is aligned with the hip.
  3. Gently push the hips forward while keeping the torso upright to feel a stretch in the hip flexors.
  4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds.
  5. Switch sides and repeat.
