Jump squats are a plyometric exercise that combines a standard squat with an explosive jump. This exercise enhances lower body power and strength, improves cardiovascular fitness, and promotes muscle tone.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at your sides.
  2. Lower into a squat, keeping your back straight and knees over toes.
  3. Explosively jump upwards, extending through your legs and swinging arms to gain momentum.
  4. Land softly, returning to the squat position and repeat.
