The Incline Svend Press is an isolation exercise focused on the chest. It emphasizes the pectoralis major, especially the clavicular head, and enhances shoulder stability. This exercise requires pressing a weight plate while maintaining tension throughout the chest by squeezing the weight.
How to do it
- Lie on an incline bench with your back supported and feet flat.
- Hold a weight plate between your hands at chest level, pressing the palms together.
- Extend the arms upward while keeping the tension by squeezing the plate.
- Slowly bring the plate back to the starting position and repeat.
