The Incline Svend Press is an isolation exercise focused on the chest. It emphasizes the pectoralis major, especially the clavicular head, and enhances shoulder stability. This exercise requires pressing a weight plate while maintaining tension throughout the chest by squeezing the weight.

How to do it

  1. Lie on an incline bench with your back supported and feet flat.
  2. Hold a weight plate between your hands at chest level, pressing the palms together.
  3. Extend the arms upward while keeping the tension by squeezing the plate.
  4. Slowly bring the plate back to the starting position and repeat.
