Heel touches are an abdominal exercise focused on strengthening the obliques and rectus abdominis. This exercise involves lying on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor while alternatingly reaching each hand to touch your heels, engaging the core muscles throughout.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
- Extend your arms along your sides, palms facing down.
- Lift your head, neck, and shoulders slightly off the ground.
- Reach your right hand towards your right heel, then switch to reach your left hand to your left heel.
- Continue alternating sides while maintaining core engagement.
