The elevated standing calf raise targets the calf muscles, enhancing strength and definition. This exercise involves lifting the heels while standing on an elevated surface, providing a full range of motion for calf activation.

How to do it

  1. Stand on an elevated surface, such as a step, with your heels hanging off the edge.
  2. Hold onto a stable object for balance if needed.
  3. Slowly raise your heels as high as possible, squeezing your calf muscles.
  4. Pause for a moment at the top of the movement.
  5. Lower your heels back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
