Calf raises are an effective exercise for strengthening the muscles in the lower legs. This exercise primarily targets the calves, improving muscle tone and endurance. It's beneficial for enhancing balance and stability in the ankles and feet.

How to do it

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart near a wall for balance.
  2. Place your hands on the wall for support.
  3. Slowly raise your heels off the ground by standing on your toes.
  4. Hold the position at the top for a moment.
  5. Lower your heels back down to the starting position.
