The single leg calf stretch is a flexibility exercise aimed at improving calf muscle flexibility and mobility. It involves stretching the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles to enhance lower leg flexibility, aiding in improved performance during activities such as running or jumping.

How to do it

  1. Start in a kneeling position with one leg extended in front.
  2. Flex the foot of the extended leg and place your hands on the ground.
  3. Gently lean forward to deepen the stretch in the calf muscle.
  4. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds.
  5. Switch legs and repeat.
