Dumbbell walking lunges are an effective lower-body exercise that targets the quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings while also enhancing balance and core stability. By lunging forward with dumbbells in each hand, this exercise builds strength and coordination, beneficial for athletes and general fitness enthusiasts.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with a dumbbell in each hand, arms at your sides.
  2. Step forward with one leg, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at 90-degree angles.
  3. Push through your front heel to rise back up to standing, bringing your rear foot forward to meet the other.
  4. Alternate legs as you continue to walk forward, maintaining a straight torso.
  5. Perform for the desired number of repetitions or distance.
