Equipment
The dumbbell upright row is an exercise primarily targeting the shoulders and upper back. It helps build and define the Deltoid muscles, improving shoulder strength and aesthetics. This movement can also engage the trapezius, aiding in the development of upper body musculature.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand in front of thighs with palms facing thighs.
- Keep back straight and core engaged as you lift the weights vertically towards your chin.
- Raise elbows out to the sides until upper arms are parallel to the floor.
- Pause, then slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
