The dumbbell one-arm side lying bench press targets the chest muscles while engaging the shoulder and core stabilizers. This exercise helps improve unilateral strength and enhance balance and coordination.
How to do it
- Lie on your side on a bench with a dumbbell in the upper hand.
- Keep your knees bent and feet firmly on the bench for stability.
- Press the dumbbell upward until your arm is fully extended over your chest.
- Slowly lower the dumbbell back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, then switch sides.
