The Dumbbell Wood Chop Squat combines a squatting motion with a rotational, chopping movement, enhancing functional strength and coordination. This dynamic exercise primarily targets the legs and core, promoting stability and power through the twisting action.

How to do it

  1. Start with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell with both hands in front of you.
  2. Squat down, bringing the dumbbell to one side of your body near the knee.
  3. Drive through your heels to stand, rotating your torso and lifting the dumbbell diagonally across your body overhead.
  4. Return to the starting position and repeat on the opposite side.
  5. Keep your core engaged throughout the movement to maintain balance.
