The Dumbbell Tate Press is an exercise focusing on the triceps, effectively promoting hypertrophy and strength in the arms. It primarily targets the triceps while also engaging the chest and shoulders for stabilization.

How to do it

  1. Lie back on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand, arms extended above your chest.
  2. Rotate your palms to face each other, and bend the elbows to lower the dumbbells toward your chest.
  3. Keep elbows pointed outward and lower until forearms and biceps make contact.
  4. Press the dumbbells back up by extending the elbows, returning to start.
