The dumbbell standing wrist curl primarily strengthens the wrist flexors. This isolation exercise is effective for improving grip strength and forearm muscular endurance. It involves curling the wrists while holding dumbbells with palms facing upward.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells in each hand, palms facing up.
- Keep your arms straight and close to your body.
- Curl the wrists upwards, bringing the dumbbells closer to your forearms.
- Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
- Slowly return to the starting position.
